• Will WP ever consider the inclusion of ‘pinned topics’ (like FAQs) at the top of certain forums?
    Thanks!

… Huh? There’s like 10 pinned (we call them sticky) topics on these forums.

    Look here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/view/all-topics

*blush* Ah, my bad there! ?? I suppose I should add more detail to my post:
It seems one of the most frequently asked questions is ‘why aren’t my plugins showing up in the admin interface for ‘plugins?’ so perhaps it might be worth putting a sticky for questions like these?

    Thanks again!

We do put up stickies for questions like those. However, that’s the first time I’ve ever seen that question asked on these forums. It’s not a particularly frequent problem. You upload your plugins and that’s pretty much that. If they’re not showing up, you didn’t upload them to the right place.

Also, for questions like that, people would do better by simply reading the documentation, which has lots of questions like that answered quite clearly:

I have to admit the reason why I’ve asked is because I’ve seen it about 3 times in the past few days by different people. I’m reading too much into this I guess!

Perhaps it might be useful to have a sticky thread that links to the FAQ instead? Although I know they exist and use them quite a bit, I’m not sure others do.

    Thanks for your patience ??

That question has been asked nearly as much as as the headers thing with wp-config.php, mosey. Truth be told, stickying it would not help, people dont f*cking read.

A very true point there, whooami. Sadly, this seems to be the case on quite a lot of other sites that open up discussion forums for their software. >_<

Just out of interest (and if this is top secret information just ignore me) is it possible to see how many times a topic has been read? So for instance, the current stickied Plugin Incompatibility page link?

    Thanks!
