Pinterest Button Grabbing Images in Sidebar, Not Post

I’m using the Pinterest Pin It Button plug in which works fine for INDIVIDUAL pics, but at the bottom of my posts is ‘supposed’ to be a small pin it button as well, and that doesn’t work properly. The reason I put ‘supposed’ in quotes is sometimes it is there, and sometimes it isn’t. I’ve tried looking at it in Safari and Chrome and there doesn’t seem to be a browser issue.
To add to the problem, my designer installed a custom ‘pin it’ button along with other sm icons that are in the footer. If you click on that pin it icon, the images that are pulled are from my sidebar, not my post. This issue also happens when and if the aforementioned pin it button does indeed show up in the footer.
This has been an ongoing issue that I would love to fix. In case you’re wondering, my designer is no longer designing, but I did ask her about this and she couldn’t figure it out.
