When trying to connect to my Pinterest account, the new window pops up, I enter my credentials and when I try to connect, the page keeps loading and never exits (print-screen example: https://prntscr.com/o0l1jh ).

I confirm that I have no 2-step authentication and I login with my email, as noted by the plugin. I also tried to loggout from pinterest, logout from wordpress, login again, clear cache but nothing.

Other networks like facebook, instagram and twitter are connected perfectly. Finally, I just updated to the latest 5.42 version and retried.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @broikos,

Thank you for reaching out and the detailed information about the connection process of Pinterest. If something like this appears, the first important step is to update Blog2Social to the latest version, as you already did.

To solve this now, please go to “Blog2Social” -> “Help & Support” -> “Troubleshooting-Tool” to see if your blog meets the system requirements. If any requirements are not met, please make sure to update this.

If you want to use Pinterest with Blog2Social, please make sure that your blog has WP-JSON.

Please also make sure to leave the two-factor-authentication in Pinterest disabled and also only use your direct login data for Pinterest, don’t log in via Facebook or Google.

Unfortunately the same happens when I try to follow your instructions for the troubleshooting-tool. I get an infinite loading. https://prntscr.com/o1iz1n

As I said, I have disabled the 2-factor authentication in Pinterest.

    Hello,

Thank you for the reply and the further information.

If pages in Blog2Social do not load, this is caused by a slow server or in other words a too long response time of the server.

To avoid this, please check if your system meets the system requirements of Blog2Social. You find an overview of all necessary system requirements to use Blog2Social in the following FAQ: https://www.blog2social.com/en/faq/content/1/58/en/system-requirements-for-installing-blog2social.html .

Please, check the speed of your website via the following link, to see if it actually loads to slow: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

    Pagespeed: https://prntscr.com/o1rpe9
I never had problems with the server performance.

Also I confirm that the server settings meet and exceed the blog2social system requirements.

    Hello,

Our IT had a look at what you described and tested why the infinite loading screen appears.
The reason is that the loading time of your server is to slow in the moment Blog2Social tries to access the necessary data from your server.
To solve this, please at first follow the information in this FAQ to set the Legacy Mode in Blog2Social: https://www.blog2social.com/en/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=9&id=123&artlang=en .

If this does not work, please make sure to increase the loading time speed of your server.

    Just some friendly feedback:
The problem was none of the above.

On my Pinterest account I had none open pin-board (or whatever Pinterest calls them). So this was an obvious mistake from my part. I created and named a board and the plugin connected immediately.
It might be helpful for others to know. Thank you very much both for your help and fast response.

However I do not know how (but would be very interested to know) an IT got to the conclusion about my “slow” server.
