Hi, I’m using the Twenty Thirteen theme on my blog. I followed instructions I found on another forum question for adding a Pinterest follow button to my blog by grabbing an HTML code from Pinterest and putting it in a text/html widget. However, the actual button doesn’t show up on my blog. Instead, it just lists my user name. Clicking on the link does take you to my Pinterest page, but why isn’t the button showing up?

I saw that I might need to go to the Sharing Menu under Settings, but the Sharing menu doesn’t show up at all on my dashboard when I go to Settings. Is that a function of the theme I’m using? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the response. I’m new to blogging and html so forgive me if I’m not giving the necessary information. I used the following code that I got from the Pinterest website.

I pasted it into a text widget without changing anything. I read a tutorial that said to look under Sharing, but that’s not even an option on my dashboard.

Ah okay, so that is just code for the link. I’m guessing the tutorial you watched was about WordPress.COM sites – they do have Sharing – but www.ads-software.com sites don’t unless you use the JetPack plugin – so that might be what you want to do:

Or if you only want Pinterest, maybe:

https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/pinterest-master/
