Pinterest issue (Multiple plugins tried)

  • So I’ve tried multiple social media plugins a multiple pinterest plugins, multiple different photos, different photo sizes, and different photo locations (URL, local).

    It still won’t let me pin a photo from my blog to pinterest. i keep getting an error saying Oops, Sorry could not fetch the image. It will let me pin something that DOESN’t have a photo, but anything that does I can’t.

    Someone said that there might be something denying access, but i disabled all the plugins and it still fails.

    I was wondering if anyone knew or had an idea what might be going on. I’ve been trying all day. Even deleted my site twice to try to figure out what is going on.

    If anyone could point me in the right direction that’d be great!

  • Hi Nathan,

    This is a bit of a long shot… maybe try uploading a bigger (higher resolution) image and see if that makes a difference.

    Hey Rob,

    Thanks for the response. I uploaded a brand new photo with high resolution, and it still tells me that same error. It’s strange because sharing on facebook or google plus works just fine.

    So I don’t think the plugin is borked, but there might be something somewhere preventing it from taking the photo. Even logging into different pinterest accounts with different browsers gives me the same result. =(

    Not sure if this helps, but whenever I get a photo, upload it to a 3rd party site like imgr, tinypic, or photobucket > insert media from URL and try to pin, it’ll work. But if i upload files from my computer and try to pin those photos, it won’t work
