verified pinterest must be with a html file in the root if your website it has nothing to do with yoast
pinterest gave you the option to download a html file, this one must be upload in the root of your site, after you did that, you can verified your website with pinterest

I also don’t see it under available tools, maybe you can do it with a meta tag as describe in verified pinterest option, I did it with the html file and it works fine. but about your question, it has tsill nothing to do with yoast

I am trying to do the same thing. Could someone please talk me through the steps of how to go about this?
? Where is the root of my site? Where do I find it, where do I go, what does it look like?
? How do I upload in the root of my site?
I know nothing of code, just need the step by step process to make this happen.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am having the same trouble. I received an email from Pinterest saying go to Tools etc BUT there is no website verification heading.
I have no idea how to find my root page either.
    Please help

    Hi guys,

Are you still having the same problem? I want to share with your this different yet easy way in verifying site on Pinterest. I hope this will work on your end too. This will not involve about “root” etcetera etcetera, you only need to do copy pasting of the Pinterest Meta Tag.

Please see the steps on my blog: https://etc.soundsfunny.ws/index.php/2013/07/simple-way-to-verify-pinterest-on-wordpress-org/

    Hope this helps. Cheers!

    Filman,

Thanks for the information. Very useful.
