Pinterst and Richpins

Hi,
I have been having a conversation with pinterest about installing “place” richpins on my site. Apparently I now need to remove this from yoast:
<meta property=”og:type” content=”article” />
as their system is recognizing page as an article instead of a place.
So is this possible and will it affect anything else.
