    running the latest version of WordPress and Buddypress and the plugin doesn’t work. Remove the admin bar, changes the menu css, and doesn’t change any text content of the site to pirate speak.

    Arg! (No pun intended.)

    Just released version 1.1.1 which fixed a bug where the defaults weren’t properly being set. So please update to the newest version in a few hours. By default the plugin will only make the site talk like a pirate on September 19th (each year.) You have to set it to be “always” on inside your Settings > Pirate Day settings. What is your site URL?

    I tried it on the site again and it still does not work with BuddyPress and is still having issues when it reqrites the screen screwing up some CSS and some flash stuff. the site is crash dot coop but the plugin is turned off again. I tried it on my own site and the css appeared to be fine but the flash slider on the homepage stopped working as well as WP-Cumulus.

    That’s super strange. All this plugin does is add <script src="https://l.yimg.com/d/lib/ydn/js/pirate1252961643.js"></script><script type="text/javascript"> to wp_footer();

    What happens if you manually add that link to the theme header or footer? I tested the plugin with my installation of BuddypPress and it worked fine.

    I looked at the footer code on crash and it looked normal. My best guess is you have other plugins that are fighting with pirate-talk.

    I manually placed it in the header before </head> and it looks like it is trying to work. It will replace some words, but not many. I think it might just be an issue with the “pirate” dictionary not having alternate words. Thanks for the response!
