Pixel

I mainly just need to make sure that FB and IG are syncing, which they are not currently. They are still showing items that are no longer for sale on my website and new items on my website are not showing up in FB and IG.

Looking at my facebook shop, it has not been updated since last on April 1, 2022.

It must update constantly. Otherwise, there is no point in having it as it is incorrect.

When using Facebook for WooCommerce, you will need a Pixel account, Pixel is an analytics tool that will help with your campaigns.

To check this much better, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? It is under WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

The Facebook pixel is a small piece of code that tracks visitor behavior on your website, allowing you to track conversions and gather data for ad targeting.

Thank you so much for this info and your help! I have been looking for the WordPress header for about 1.5 hours. The closest I have come is under Appearance and Theme Editor. But the only header code that I have seen is:

• DO NOT ADD SCRIPTS HERE
• USE a plugin like : https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/header-and-footer-scripts/

• This is commented out on purpose, it keeps plugins for incorrectly stating errors <?phpwp_head(); ?>

If I understand you correctly, the plugin isn’t syncing your site with Facebook probably.

Syncing problems are usually fixed by resetting the plugin connection, deleting the catalog&re-adding it or checking the plugin’s settings.

If that doesn’t help, then I’ll ask you to provide us with more information about the problem. For example; are all products not syncing or just a certain detail like stock or price?

It would be also very helpful if you can attach some screenshots as well of that pixel message in the dashboard, you can use https://snipboard.io/ to upload it.

Thank you so much! Yes, they are not syncing. I need to add the pixel code to the header. But I cannot find where to add it. I cannot find my header. I’m using the WordPress Virtue theme. I have looked and looked and do not see where to add the pixel code.

The items are not syncing. The old items are not deleted when they sell and not all new items are added (on FB or IG). I sell vintage jewelry, so I only have one so it is imperative that FB and IG match my website since it is accurate.

When Facebook for WooCommerce?extension is installed on your site, you will need to create a Business Manager account with Facebook in order to use a tracking pixel. You can check the requisites for your Facebook for WooCommerce to work here.

The screenshot that @ihereira is asking for, is the below error message you have mentioned seeing on your end:

Add the Pixel Code to the header.php file:

Dashboard > Appearance > Theme File Editor. Then, find the header.php file and paste the pixel code just above the closing </head> tag.

If you prefer not adding this directly to your header.php , you can use a plugin to add this, such as the Insert Headers and Footers, where you can then add the Pixel code.

Thank you! I have installed it but my Mac Chrome is not compatible with/for the pixel helper, so who knows if it’s working??? At this point, this it’s more trouble than it is worth. I’m at the point where I would almost just rather not be bothered with the FB and IG store…..
