Pixelated images only on certain devices

I’m using the RFWB Slider in the Tesseract theme by Tyler Moore. The slider images look great on some devices, but images are extremely pixelated on others (specifically my client’s laptop and cell phone). Here are the devices it’s been tested on:
Looks horribly pixelated on:
Sony Vaio Ultrabook 13.3″
Resolution set to 1920×1080

See specs hereI had originally saved the images for web at 1366×768 px @72 dpi, but found they were a bit fuzzy on my Mac, so I uploaded the full resolution photos assuming there was compression in the plugin. The original photos were approximately 3000×2000 px @ 300 dpi. This seemed to help immensely, but not on the first two devices listed.
Can someone shed some light on why this may be happening and provide a solution? Thanks in advance for any help!
