Pixova Lite vs Pixova Pro :Latest News Section

Hi Breezy92,

latest news are now displayed in a carousel (4 at a time), this is kind of a work-around on something www.ads-software.com imposes. Basically, we are not allowed to control how many posts show / front-page, at any time … thus, the carousel feature ??

WordPress suddenly imposed changes to your template? Is there a way I can download the previous version- because the front page is wrecked now.
If not.. since wordpress is imposing how your template looks, then purchasing the template in order to have all my posts displayed would be of no use to me either?
Wow this is terribly disappointing.. I am nearly done with the site now it feels the rug has been yanked from under my feet once again.:(

I also just noticed the carousel doesn’t even show all the products when scrolling across..

yep, that’s pretty much how the www.ads-software.com repository works. There’s a handbook full of guidelines that every single www.ads-software.com theme has to adhere to. There isn’t too much room for creativity, but we struggle. The PRO version of our theme is controlled only by us, so these things won’t happen there … only on the FREE (Lite) version these things can happen.

This is truly disheartening to now have to pay $60 just to restore a feature I already had for over 2 months. This sudden act by wordpress co-opting your theme makes it feel like bait and switch. The reason I downloaded Pixova lite was that it advertised the ability of the user to feature as many posts as they would like under the “latest news section” .which is why I gave your theme such stellar reviews. Now I’m at a loss here…
Is there a way to resolve this without paying $59 just to restore the site to the way it’s always looked? Can this be resolved by downloading the earlier version of Pixova Lite which was working perfectly?

I understand your frustration Belinda and trust me – I feel it too … but yeah downloading an earlier version of Pixova Lite will fix the problem you’re having.

here’s a link to the trac ticket where all Pixova Lite versions are held: https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/31797

Locate the version you need, click on it and look for the download link (usually, just below the screenshot of the theme).

– in case you were implying we’re somehow trying to pull more sales from this, you’re really mistaken ?? I can provide you with a link to the guidelines, if you’re interested.

No…Not implying that YOU guys are doing a bait n switch which is why I specifically stated that wordpress hijacking/co-opting your design makes it feel that way when you think you will get one thing and wordpress overrides it… I had no idea wordpress can override your template design.. which leaves me with a less than flattering opinion of wordpress…

Hello – I’ve just down loaded PIXNOVA but I cant seem to make it look like the sample page that prompted me to try it in the first place.
So far I can only seem to get a,

?short picture as the main image,sample has a large image.

?there is a navigation column running vertical to the right,
unlike the sample.

?how do you make active the features like Recent Works Section etc ?

hi newbeetothehive – I have pixova lite as well and when you download it you will see on the top a “customize” button. click on that and you will see on the left hand side downdown menu with a range of sections with options to edit the site .. one section is is “Recent works” section.
The “CTA” section will let you add images etc and let you upload a large image like in the sample
