Hi, I have installed Ultimate Auction 4.0.5 on a local server running WordPress 5.0.2 (inside a docker container).
When I click the “place bid” button with a logged user I’m redirected to a 404 page with this error:

The requested URL /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-auction was not found on this server.

If I bid as a not logged user, when I click the button nothing happen.

Tried with many templates (twenty sixteen, seventeen, nineteen, stacy).

    PHP 7.2.18

    Hi @ronca71 ,

We tested latest plugin version on WP 5.2 and PHP 7.2.x locally (on localhost) and it is working fine.

Since its localhost you are trying, we wont be able to access it. Could you please try it on online WordPress setup and let me know.

    Regards,
    Nitesh

I’ve done the same installation on an online server and I have the same issue.

Hi, I’ve found the problem, but I don’t know how to resolve it.

I use wordpress in italian language and the issue is present. If I set wp in English the place bid button works as espected.

    Please can you go deeper?

    Thank you

    Hi @ronca71 ,

Since you are facing issue for Italian language, I’m assuming that you might have translated it and due to certain character used in language, it might be throwing some error. Could you please share the translated file?

    Regards,
    Nitesh

Hi, no translation at all. Simply installed WP in italian and imported the Ultimate Auction plugin.

I send you a private message with information for connecting to the test server.

    Thank you

Hi, the problem is inside the italian translation file that come with the extension. I have removed every quotation (single and double) from the strings assigned to the variable wdmmsg used in the “place bid” javascript code.

    Now it works as expected.

    Best regards.

    Hi Maurizio,

    you need poedit: https://poedit.net/download

the file is wdm-ultimate-auction-it_IT.po inside the folder languages, change as desired then compile to MO and upload and replace both files to your webserver

    Which lines to translate?
    – look at the source code of an auction web page
    – search for: wdmmsg = ”
    – you will find some rows with: wdmmsg = “testo tradotto in italiano”;
    – search the phrases in the po file

Unfortunately is not possible to attach files in the post otherwise I would have provided the files already corrected

    Regards

thanks for the reply. if you want to send me the files already corrected here is my email maurizio.nextart[at]gmail.com

    thanks
