I have 2 locations I am trying to set up. I was able to import reviews from both but using the place id does not show reviews for that location.

@kyledoesit This plugin does not support live updates from multiple locations.

You may be able to retrieve one place and then switch to another afterwards. Once done, you can use the place_id parameter in the shortcode to only show the summary information and reviews for each place.

Only the current place will update with new reviews and the overall review count and rating.

Please let me know if that makes sense and you can get it working as intended?

    All the best,

@kyledoesit I am going to mark this issue as resolved. I’m happy to follow up if you have any more information or if you believe there is an error.

I changed the primary place id in the plugin to grab reviews, and it imports them, but when I set the place id in the shortcode for the other location it doesn’t show the reviews for that location.

There’s another issues I’m noticing now. When I change the place id in the plugin settings from place 1 to place 2 it will remember all of the reviews from place 1 and pull in the reviews from place 2, but when I change the place id back it seems that the reviews for place 2 are forgotten.

@kyledoesit What’s are your two Place IDs? I’ll have a check with this shortly and get back to you.

@kyledoesit I’ve added both of these Places to my test site and it is running as intended – each shortcode uses it’s own specific place_id parameters as follows:

    [reviews_rating place_id="ChIJD_K8CqMp2YgRRRDbBEO4N64"]

    [reviews_rating place_id="ChIJaynMrOvV2IgREqNCugwBQ40"]

The summary and reviews match those shown on the Google reviews page.

Please can you try clearing the main caching service and the plugin’s cache data if you continue to see this mismatch here. And if that doesn’t help, please can you send me the full shortcodes you’re using and a URL showing the issue.

    Thanks,

    Noah

Here’s the one from the place having the issue
    [reviews_rating place_id="ChIJaynMrOvV2IgREqNCugwBQ40" min=5 max=5 vicinity="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"]

    and the one that’s working

    [reviews_rating vicinity="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" place_id="ChIJD_K8CqMp2YgRRRDbBEO4N64" ]

I added vicinity because the place having the issue was also showing the wrong address. I also haven’t set up anything for caching yet as this is going to replace a production site but is not completed yet.

@kyledoesit Have you updated to the most recent version? It sounds like one of the new features is not active for you.

I am using Version 2.15 and have nothing waiting for updates. I’m using the divi theme, if that makes a difference.

    (@designextreme)

@kyledoesit The Divi theme shouldn’t make any difference.

Did you try clearing the various caches I suggested before?

If that doesn’t work and you’ve just started (i.e. no archive of review data), please can you reset the plugin? Make a note of your main settings first.

You can contact me privately if you don’t wish to share the URL – use the support link to Design Extreme, then the contact form there.

Update: As you said in your email, you’ve cleared out the cache and reset it several times. As I cannot replicate the same issue here, I’ll see if I can resolve this by looking at your setup more closely.
