Places ID issue with Plugin

  • Hi RichPlugins,

    I found this nice plugin when I searched to a Google Review showing plugin. After that I went to widgets where I can ad the Google Reviews Widget. Then he asked to ‘Enter Place ID of your Google Business’. I entered it, but it didn’t work, because I got this failure in red:

    Google error: The provided API key is invalid.

    But I am for sure, I used the right Place ID..

    What is going wrong? Please help!

    Hi,

    Please check the Google API key (not place ID, these’re a different things), the API key on the setting page of the plugin, into the ‘Google Places API Key’ field should not include any additional spaces at the begin or end of the key (please check it). Also, you can try to create new key (without any IP or referrer restrictions) and save it in the setting, then try to connect the Google place again.

    If it won’t help, please send debug information from the setting page of the plugin to support [at] richplugins.com
