    Hello all,

we use this plugin on various customer websites. Is it necessary to refer to “GTranslate” in the privacy policy? If so, is there an already written text somewhere that we can put in? Perhaps with a link to the GTranslate privacy policy?

I would be very pleased to hear from you!

Thank you very much & best regards,
    Manuel

    Hi,

If you are using our free version then you can use the Google’s Privacy Policy link: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If you are using our paid version you can use our TOS link which also has Privacy section: https://gtranslate.io/terms

    Thanks! ??

    Hi @edo888,

thank you very much for your answer.

I was rather thinking of a text that we can place in the privacy policy of the respective website. Something like:

    ——-
    Google ReCaptcha

For protection when submitting forms (e.g. online membership application, contact form, registration for the internal member area) we use in selected cases the service reCAPTCHA of the company Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). The service includes the sending of your IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. The deviating data protection provisions of the Google company apply to this data. Further extensive details can be found in Google’s Privacy Center: https://www.google.de/intl/de/privacy

Is something like this also necessary for “GTranslate”?

Thank you very much & best regards,
    Manuel

    Hi,

We do not have a text like that.

For the free version you can refer to Google privacy policy, I am not sure if they have a specific privacy policy for Google Translate. In this case we are not involved, it is between you, your visitors and Google.

For the paid version you can refer to it as a translation proxy service. Think of it as an interpreter between 2 people talking to each other in different languages. Interpreter has full access to the communication during the conversation.

    Thanks! ??
