• Hi Brecht,

I am encountering an issue with ads within the recipe card. I have successfully place an add in between instructions and notes however the ad network I am using only offer desktop ads or mobile ads, but not responsive ads. As I have placed a desktop ad, the issue is that on mobile, the ad remains at the desktop size and gets cropped. Is there any way to make a non-responsive ad responsive within the Edit HTML WPRM are where the code is placed?

    Thanks a lot!

Isn’t this the same problem when using their code outside of the recipe card in the regular post content? How do they handle it there?

It doesn’t really seem like our plugin is causing any problems here but rather their code.

Indeed the same problem happens outside of the card however I can fix those through my ad plugin. The ad in the WPRM card is in fact the only one I cannot implement through that plugin as it is directly inserted in the WPRM Edit HTML therefore I wondered if there was some kind of formula to add. But if not, I will check with the ad network what can be done.

    Thanks Brecht for confirming!

How is it handled in the regular post content exactly?

If that ad plugin you mention generates a shortcode, you could add that shortcode under “Edit HTML” for the recipe template as well.

    Hi Brecht,

In fact, regarding the content, I still need to setup different sizes of ads for the different devices. At the moment, ads are still desktop size but there is a way to adjust those.

Indeed this plugin is able to generate a shortcode. I have just tried to insert it in the Edit HTML location in the WPRM plugin but the ad still gets cropped. The wisest thing to do may be to place a responsive ad once I’ll have applied to other ad networks.

Thank you for your advice on this matter.
