• Hi all,
I have been fiddling with this for a few hours and can’t quite get the desired effect. I can’t see the answer on a forum search so thought I’d just ask please!

I have loaded the 2012 theme, which as default themes go is really great. I’m using a static front page and custom menu with blog posts going to a ‘news’ page.

Every way I try it I still get posts displaying on the static home page I set up. What I am trying to do is get the landing page just with just the site content and no posts.

I’ve looked through custom page plug ins and the like with not much success so far.

Has anyone manged to crack this one please and able to share what I should do?

    Many thanks

OK, sorry I still have a question about this subject please.

In 2012 using the showcase template on a ‘home’ page, is there a way that posts can be prevented from showing at the bottom of the page.

I like the way that the template using the full width of the page with no side bar but the blog posts at the bottom are unwanted as these will be on the news page.

    thank you

Sorry, the theme is of course 2011 – I’m a year ahead of myself there

OK, ended up editing the posts section out of the template to get rid of it.

Two concerns here; I have no idea if this will have any dramatic affects across the reminder of the site and if this will be ffected when I next do an upgrade.

Have saved copies of unedited and edited files.

Any thought on this please anyone?
