Hey, guys! I noticed that my portfolio site (www.SwankBanana.com) was missing a ton of pictures, players, etc. I did a plugin-by-plugin sweep until I found the problem; the Google MP3 player.

When activated, I lose images, video galleries, and more. When deactivated, everything’s where it should be.

I’m by no means a coder, so please, idiot-proof answers only.

  • Why bother using a player plugin when WordPress 3.6 has audio support by default?

Why does anyone do anything? Because they’re dopes that don’t know any better. ??

Good clue; the only problem is that that doesn’t work much better…I can play the audio now, but the players don’t display ‘play’ arrows, which is disconcerting.

    Thoughts?

You could just try looking for another player plugin.

I could, and it looks like that’s what I’ll have to do. What bugs me, is that I don’t feel like I should have to.

I mean, this is the built-in audio service for WordPress…there doesn’t seem to be a conceivable reason that it wouldn’t have the bugs worked out by now.

    Anyway, thanks, guys.
