• Hello,

we have been using Seriously Simple Podcasting for a long time and are very happy with it. But on Friday 12.07.2024 around 16.00 we were informed by one of our Authors that no episodes could be played. Download or play in another tab lead to a “page not found” error. However, the Castos URLs were ok and could be played. In Castos admin everything looked fine. All episodes showed synced with Castos. Pages like?https://www.radioara.org/podcast/?were not reachable. After 21:00, everything went back to normal. We have no clue what happened, but it was frightening experience. Could you please explain what happened?

    kind regards

    natalia

    Hello @natasza2023,

I’ve just checked your https://www.radioara.org/podcast/ page, and it works for me.

Have you managed to fix it yourself?

    Best regards,
    Serhiy.

    Dear Serhiy,

as i mentioned in my first message, on Friday, June 19, 2024, the Player did not work for several hours, approximately from 4 to 9 p.m., but after 9 p.m. everything returned to normal without my help. I have no idea what happened.

    kind regards,

    natalia

If your pages were unreachable for some time and then returned to normal, it’s likely due to server problems. The server might not have been able to handle the number of user requests, or there could be other internal issues.

I would recommend setting up caching if it hasn’t been done already. Additionally, you can contact your hosting support to check the server logs and investigate the issue further. They can provide insights into what caused the problem and suggest optimizations to prevent it from happening again.

    Best regards,
    Serhiy.
