Player List Sorting

    I have created a player list of all the players in the league. I would like the players to be listed as follows: grouped by team, then those on the same team sorted alphabetically. The current player list sorts by Squad Number. A unique squad number is assigned to each team (ie Team 1 has a Squad Number of 1, etc). The grouping of players by Squad Number works fine, but I’m at a loss as to how to then list the players alphabetically by player name.

    Hi @pcvcadmin,

    You can use the shortcode Player List (https://support.themeboy.com/article/110-player-list-shortcode) for each team and sort them by Name.

    Thanks for the response. That is unfortunate that a player list would need to be created for each team. If I continue to use Squad Number to sort, can you explain what order the players with the same squad number are displayed in? Is it random? Does it depend upon the order the players are created?

    Hi @pcvcadmin,

    With next update of SportsPress (its around the corner) you will be able with a general Player List to filter out only the players of a specific team or/and league or/and season.

    Thanks! I can’t tell from your description if the new functionality will address the issue I raised, but I’m fine to wait until the new version comes out and try it to see if it does.

    Hi @pcvcadmin,

    With the new feature you will be able to create just one Player List (i.e. 2018-2019) and use the player list shortcode as follows:

    [player_list id="xxx" team_id="xxx" season_id="xxx"]
