    Hi All:

    Details:

The site is on SiteGround with their speed optimizer deployed. SSP works great until the point the post is up. At that point, the player looked okay, but nothing played. Everything is updated.

I did look at the replies, and suggestions on the forum, and I tried excluding the URL from the Cache, but I may not have the URL correct.

Their are over 10 episodes there, and none of the players work. I am assuming it is a problem with Cache or a problem with another plugin, though I cannot find it.

The Url I gave in the header is for an episode read in from an RSS feed on Spotify (Anchor).

This URL is for an episode I uploaded through the New Podcast on SSP.

    https://viewfromisrael.com/podcast/free-speech-censorship/

So in both cases, the player simply does not play.

Before I am asked, yes the uploaded file Url is correct.

    Next question:

I loaded a .srt for this one when I uploaded the file. But I don’t see it anywhere on the page. https://viewfromisrael.com/podcast/free-speech-censorship/

    Any suggestions? Ideas?

    Thank you

    Hi @twg144!

I can see you use “www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3” prefix for your podcast analytics. For example, for the free-speech-censorship episode, the audio URL is https://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3/viewfromisrael.com/podcast-player/1027/free-speech-censorship.mp3, and if you try this URL, you’ll see the following message:

If you are the owner of this podcast and want to use the Podtrac Measurement Service, you need to register your podcast RSS feed at Podtrac.com

Regarding the .srt file – could you please ensure that Show download transcript link is enabled on Podcasting->Settings->Player page?

    @zahardoc

Thanks for answering. Yes, I have seen that from the beginning.

And I registered with Podtrac. So I am not sure what is wrong there. I can log into my account there just fine.

Should I just got out the Podtrac plugin?

    Thanks

Thank you. Disabled the plugin and it works now.

AND the transcript shows up now.

    I greatly appreciate your help.

    Thank you so much!

Have another question for you, if you don’t mind.

I uploaded an episode to SSP. In the initial uploading, by mistake, I included the wrong episode “cover image.” When I went back to correct it, after it was loaded, I could find nowhere where I could edit or change that cover image.

    What am I missing?

Thanks again for all your help.

    Hi @twg144,

Can you see the “Upload new image” button?

    HI @zahardoc

    Thanks for your help.

My bad! I must have had a singular moment there. Figured it out. Change the cover on the “feature image.”

And btw, yes I knew about that tab. Appears when you upload an episode. I was just not thinking straight. I wanted to change the cover image, which as I have said above, is through the “featured image.”

Thank you though for your help.

Sorry to have bothered you. Guess I needed sleep that day!
