    Is there a way to control where and when the player displays?

    I’d like it to display with the excerpt on a blog feed – without a graphic.

    Does this plugin support shortcodes? or is there a PHP call I can use to place it in a custom template?

    You can set the player placement on the setting page or on the post page by opening up the “Libsyn Player Settings”.

    The plugin does support short codes once you post an episode the plugin will automatically insert the short code into the post.
