• Hi, after updating to sportspress 2.4 from 1.8 I’ve lost automatic players to teams assignments in statistics (every league the team has played in is shown but the team is set to “– None –“), I don’t have idea why!
Even more weird the numeric stats appear!

    Hi!

    Thanks for reaching out!

Unfortunately since it’s a big change some data loss may occur. It’s like trying to update a computer from windows 95 to windows 10. A lot has changed and the data storage itself may have changed.

You could try updating in steps (for example from 1.8 to 2.0, then to 2.1, 2.3, 2.5) but even that isn’t guaranteed to work.

Also, I should point out that our latest version is 2.5.x and we recommend you updating to it to avoid conflicts in the future.

    Thanks!

Ok I understand that, being a Pro user is there any chance someone can look into it and try restoring the data associations? the other weird thing is that total stats are not showing up in the rest endpoint!

    Hi @ziudeso,

Did you make a backup before the upgrading from 1.8 to 2.4?

If not, unfortunately there are not many things we can do ??

I agree with Roch. You should always do incremental upgradings, specially when you are multiple major upgrades behind.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

If you are a Pro user please get in touch here:

With wp-admin access it’s easier to find the root cause of your issues. But we can’t make any promisses as this is a big update

    Thanks!
