Player stops streaming

  • I am seeing the same issue streaming stops / freezes 06:24 mins into the 34:11 episode, a second attempt freezes at 5:18 mins.

    testing a different episode freezes at 04:21 of 30:05.

    no refresh of the browser helps, it just starts from the beginning.

    Simply downloading the files shows that they are not corrupt so its the streaming that would seem to be the issue.

    The server isn’t loaded much at all and no errors are shown in the server logs.

    Not sure where to look now? …did you find anything out?

    Nothing. No. I think it could be the WP Memory Limit. But I’m not sure.

    The audio player in use here is the core WordPress media player, so if there’s a problem with the player it has nothing to do with SSP. If this is a consistent issue on multiple sites then it sounds like a bug with the media player itself. If you think this is a genuine bug then you can log a ticket here: https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/newticket so someone can look into it.

    OK thanks I’ll simplify the set-up when I get chance to see if its any conflicts, I’ll post back with findings or the ticket reference.
