• Hi, when i create a new event and user player v player.

You get a dropdown for players instead of teams, which is great, however, the list is alphabetical and once you have selected to names, no matter in which order you choose them, it corrects them into alphabetical order. This is a problem as it always selects the first name as the “home” player and the second name as “away” player. so this is not ideal.

The other problem is, with all away games, we will not know who this is until the day, is there a way or being able to add a name manually, other than having to create a new player all the time (this is no good), otherwise a box score is not available to add a score?

    Thanks

    Scot

    Hi Scot!

Since the first part of your question is in another ticket I’ll leave it there

As for the away games, unfortunately, you need to add a player or a team in your events so they’ll work properly. What you can do is to create a placeholder team or player (such as “To be announced”) and replace it with the correct one when you are ready.

    Thanks!

    Hi Roch

Although the first part is mentioned in another ticket, this affects how this worls too, so its a different problem. No matter which order I select the players, it always displays the names in alphabeticl once in the box, so no matter who I want as the home player, it selects the person ascending as the home player, even though they might not be.

I have had to create 2 placeholder names, A-opponent and Z-opponent, so depending on which opponent is home or away, I have to select A for Home and Z for away, so it places the name in the correct order (alphabetical) for the system to know. This seems silly, it should just place the names in order as they are added (selected). I will not be able to replace it after as this may then change the order (home/away) of the names and also, might not see that person again.

So for the time being this gets around the problem.

    Thanks

    Hi Scot

    That’s a great idea actually!

You can change the players to be ordered by their jersey number, but this solution should work just fine for you.

    Thanks!
