Players only showing text on Android 4.1.2

  • Had a site visitor complain audio players not showing play buttons – just some text.

    I sent her to the demo page with all the players and she confirmed the same behavior there as on my site.

    Here are her device details – unfortunately I don’t have one to test, but thought you’d want to know … OTW we love the player – it rocks!

    Here is the phone/OS that’s not working:

    Brand:ZTE Majesty straight talk phone
    Version of Android: 4.1.2
    Purchased: August 2014, 6 month plan thru January 2015
    Provider: Straight Talk Wireless

    I assume she’s using whatever browser is default on that setup – which would be mobile chrome no?

    I saw elsewhere the issue was fixed for mobile chrome — I’m on the latest version of the plugin so on this version of mobile chrome, looks like not working yet.

    Thnx for the advice!

    The player should fall back to the default audio player on the stock Android browsers due to several problems on that browser. It should work fine on Android Chrome browser.
    Anyway it seems that it’s not the behavior your visitor has… I’ll try to check this issue and fix it if possible.
