Playing with wp_list_comments()

  • I’m just altering my theme to use the new wp_list_comments() function in conjunction with the paged comments options that are also new.

    Things are working well, but I’d like to alter the way each comment is numbered. At the moment, each page of comments I go to has the comments numbered 1 – 20. What I’d like to do is have them numbered in the order they have been posted.

    So one post I have has 142 comments. I have them split into pages of 20. Each page I look at has them numbered 1 – 20, instead of 1 – 20 on page 1, 21 – 40 on page 2 etc.

    It doesn’t appear to me that I can add an argument to wp_list_comments() to change this. Any ideas?
