Playlist as Resource Display Help

Remove only_pl=1 and you’ll get large thumbnail at top, and small thumbnails below.

Just, large and small videos will play in lightbox if you set display=thumbnail. If you set display=iframe or iframe2, then all of them will play in own embedded player (that means, small videos will not be loaded on large video location).

If you need that functionality (only large video play in place, when you click on small thumbnail video is loaded on location of large video), I’m afraid that you’ll need to look for other plugin.

Thank you, although still no thumbnails show. I love your plugin and don’t mind have the thumbnails play in a lightbox. I just can’t figure out why the Playlist will not show thumbnails below the video? I updated the shortcode to [youtube_channel playlist=PLNjUtPczX6bgivdrUSIT3fo1CD7AZTWYh resource=2 num=7 display=thumbnail]

If you have set in global settings to use playlist only, try with

[youtube_channel playlist=PLNjUtPczX6bgivdrUSIT3fo1CD7AZTWYh resource=2 num=7 display=thumbnail only_pl=0]

Still no luck, now I get the error ” Ups, something went wrong.” Also when I try to clear the default playlist ID in general settings, it will not save a blank value and returns to the last saved value. FYI you may want to change the error message to “Oops” versus “Ups”

On another note. I have set all the default parameters in the settings admin and just tried using the shortcode without any custom params and still get the error and no video display.

OK did some more troubleshooting and found when all default params are set in the admin 1 – default playlist ID
2 – resource as playlist
3 – checked value for Enable this option to embed whole playlist instead single video from playlist when you chose playlist as resource.

Using shortcode [youtube_channel] displays the playlist video (with thumbnails embedded in the video, but not below)

Using shortcode with param [youtube_channel only_pl=0] errors.
Unchecking Enable this option to embed whole playlist also errors.

Seems to be a conflict with the only_pl=0, only_pl=1 parameter not working correctly.

Upgrade to latest 3.0.6 (just released) and check this out:

Btw, when you remove Channel/Playlist ID from general settings, they are set to plugin defaults. SO, that field can’t be empty (I’m preventing a lot of issues).

When I remove the Playlist ID, it does not reset to plugin defaults, only the last saved value. I have the latest version installed 3.0.6, using the shortcode you provided in the screenshot, but Alek I can not get it to display as shown in your example. How can I reset all admin settings to defaults?

I see you removed the only_pl param from the admin UI, but its still set in the DB?

Now I have

@ Alek, just wanted to ensure you saw this error, since the ‘random’ param has been removed from the UI but not in the code base
