playlist download buttons

Hi, I have a wordpress site with a mp3 jplayer that im using word app to make the site into a mobile app. I know apple and andriod don’t support direct downloads, however, i was wondering if there is a way for me to have the download buttons from within the player open the links in a new tab or window which will allow the mobile user to download the files?
