Playlist is not updating

  • Greetings. Our client recently added a video to a playlist that we have set up with your plugin. However, the video is not showing on the front end of the website. It is live on Youtube, and it is in the appropriate playlist. This was last week that he added the video, so it shouldn’t be a Youtube update issue or a cache issue.

    This is the code we are using:

    I checked and re-checked and can not figure out what the problem is or why this video won’t show up.

  • I’m having the same issue. I installed the plugin and my first 6 videos showed up. Then I uploaded more videos and they don’t show. I am not using a playlist, just calling all videos from the user. Please help.

    I think I found the answer. It seems to be a caching setting in the plugin. The default is 24hrs. I’m not going to use the widget, but I put it in the sidebar and deactivated the cache to do a forced refresh. An admin setting for the shortcode use of this plugin would be nice.

    I’m having the same issue with my website — using the playlist shortcode to stream YouTube videos.

    Even if the plugin ha a 24 hour cache, why wouldn’t it reset after 24 hours? In the OP’s case, it’s been a week since they updated the playlist and it’s still not updating on their site. (This is my issue, too.)

    So far the only way I’ve been able to get new videos on the site is to recreate the playlist. Which is NOT helpful and very time consuming with certain long playlists, not to mention all the other problems that causes.

    I’m having the same issue with the youtube channel gallery not updating when I make changes to my youtube video channel. From the discussion here it seems that the cache may be issue. I don’t write code but can snoop around in the shortcodes. How do I add an empty cache “order” into the shortcode ??

    I write enough code to be comfortable snooping in the PHP, which I did, and even with the cache variables manually set to 0, it didn’t do anything. Even after two days of it set that way, my site’s playlists haven’t updated even though the new videos I uploaded are assigned to them correctly on YouTube.

    It’s quite frustrating! I can’t think of anything else that could fix this.

    Already have. No word from the developer on my thread yet either. Same problem, new version of WP. Very annoying.
