    Hi! Very useful plugin!
    Today I did find backlink from my site to Yoast pages from XML map.
    I am did look it in the plugin code and find in xml-sitemap-xsl.php

    <p class="expl">
    						Generated by <a href="https://yoast.com/">Yoast</a> <a href="https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/">SEO</a>, this is an XML Sitemap, meant for consumption by search engines.<br/>
    						You can find more information about XML sitemaps on <a href="https://sitemaps.org">sitemaps.org</a>.
    					</p>

    I think it’s a big bloat and unprofessional trick. Can u add function for cut this bloat to your plugin? Thank u!

    Hi Kosiak, glad to hear that you like the plugin.

    The issue you describe is where the text is added to the actual sitemap.xml page and is used as an explanation of what the sitemap does.

    With our plugin we are actually targeting the bloat that the Yoast SEO adds to your WP Dashboard.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    This is active SEO backlink. Its not explanation. This is unwanted selfpromotion. Without variants to hide it in the Premium version too.

    Whether or not it is an explanation, it is showing on the frontend and with the SO Hide SEO Bloat plugin we are focusing on the bloat in the WordPress backend.

    If you want you can open a feature request on Github, where I actually support the plugin, and if that generates enough interest, we can think about adding it as a new feature.

    In the meantime you can switch off the XML sitemap generator and use a different one or write your own plugin to turn off the backlink ??

    Did anyone open up a feature request on this? I would love this too!

    Please see this. If I’m even going to contemplate to add it, I will need to receive input on how to do it, because as far as I can see it is not even possible.
