    Probably not.
    Use the Hide Login Area feature or upgrade to iTSec Pro plugin which includes a ReCaptcha feature.

    Hide Login Area feature does not work! I do not know how but bots can get actual login area even it is hidden. That is also something what developer should handle as well…

    @pavelcech

    Hide Login Area feature works fine!
    Ever considered you are missing something …

    Why do you think bots can get actual login area even when it is hidden ?
    Is it because you keep receiving lockout emails ?

    Do you actually see (in addition to your own) GET requests for your hidden slug in the Web Server access_log when the Hide Login Area feature is enabled ?

    Trying to help you but keeping an open mind helps as well …

    May be we do not understand each other. I can setup hidden area, it works. But somehow bots are able to recognize what is the hidden area login link. I am sure that there is some way which we or iTheme developer team do not know!

    @pavelcech

    Yes it seems so, so I’ll just repeat my question:

    Why do you think bots can get actual login area even when it is hidden ?
    Is it because you keep receiving lockout emails ?

    You may be drawing wrong conclusions …
    (Remember the open mind remark in my previous post …)

    Ok. So there is a security hole in my website or in iTheme? Omg, be straight…

    @pavelcech

    How do you expect me to be able to answer that question without you answering my questions ??

    Remember, I’m only trying to help.

    @dwinden That’s not how modlook works. You have to tag the topic in the sidebar with modlook.

    @pavelcech Please give this a read.

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome

    Particularly this part.

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Being_.27Mod_Watched.27_or_Banned

    If you need help in these forums then you need to maintain a civil attitude. That is not asking a lot and your reply personal attack was unnecessary and uncalled for.

    @jan Dembowski

    Ahh right, looked for an explanation on how to use the “modlook” tag here but could not find any (perhaps an idea for improvement). Clearly I was not yet familiar with it … Opted to just put it in the topic as a new post since I was in a hurry … Well anyway it looks like it also worked the unconventional way … ??

    Next time you bump into someone unfamiliar with the “Modlook” Tags sidebar feature please also refer him/her to:

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Administration#The_Modlook_Tag

    Or even better try and get this link added to the Reporting Threads paragraph in the Forum Welcome page…

    Another complication was the simple fact that the Tags entry in the sidebar will only allow you to add a new tag when you are logged in …
    I scanned the page and noticed the Tags entry in the sidebar but at that point I was not logged in … and I probably didn’t realise that at that point in time …

    One last point.
    According to this moderators are supposed to remove offending texts in bad posts …
    Why did you not remove the offending text ?

    Totally off topic: That link you posted

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Deleting_.2F_Editing_Posts

    That’s a judgement call of the moderators and while we do want to keep it all family friendly and rated PG, the 2 letters in question aren’t too egregious.

    If it were outright profanity then, yes it would get redacted. I do think it was rude but in my opinion didn’t warrant deletion or editing.

    Thanks, I’ll take that into consideration. ??
