Please advice for AMP setup
-
Hello AMP team,
I will appreciate if you can help me with my situation.
I will try to explain shortly and understandable.So I set up AMP for the website by watching this tutorial – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMPGdLUCC_Q&t=304s.
1. Installed and activated AMP Plugin By Automattic;
2. Installed and activated your AMP for WP Plugin;
3. Configured the AMP for WP settings just like from the video tutorial. ( only haven’t added a Google analytics setting, left it by default )After that I tested if it works by typing – https://www.geckomarketing.ca/amp and it visualized the website with mobile version of it.
Then from the WordPress Dashboard -> Pages -> I chose a page which I would like to make AMP active. I clicked on it to Edit and after this scrolled down to the Custom AMP Editor – ticked the “Use This Content as AMP Content” and pasted the Text content from the page into it and then saved and updated.And also noticed in the Custom AMP Editor a message – “…it will automatically convert them into AMP compatible tags.”
After this I have tested the page with the /amp extension and it worked – https://www.geckomarketing.ca/content-marketing/amp/ visualizing it.
But after placing the URL to the AMP test to check if everything is okay it gives me error.
For: https://www.geckomarketing.ca/content-marketing/
Error message appears: Not a valid AMP page, Fix the following 5 issues … Prohibited HTML Tag with AMP equivalent, Prohibited or invalid use of HTML Tag, Invalid CSS stylesheet, AMP markup missing or incorrect, User-authored JavaScript found on page.
For: https://www.geckomarketing.ca/content-marketing/amp – Oops! Something went wrong
Please wait a bit and try again .Please advice where is the issue. I guess it is something with the tags as was listed in the error but if it from them how and from where I must fix them?
I hope you can help me.Kind regards, Nick.
