“Please choose product options by visiting” -problem

    Hi,

    Just wanted to mention that selecting “Defer Render-blocking JavaScript (recommended)” in Siteground optimizer will break Woocommerce variable products and give error message “Please choose product options by visiting XXXX”. You are unable to add those products to cart.

    This was brought to our knowledge by one of our customers. The option had been turned on for a week, and I’m not sure how much sales we lost during that time.

    Please fix it or at least take off the Recommended tag.

    Hello @otzify,

    The issue is most commonly related to specific scripts, rather than the overall functionality of the “Defer Render-blocking JavaScript” setting.

    You have the option to exclude scripts and there’s a drop down menu which allows you to choose them. Please exclude the following two:

    /themes/flatsome/assets/js/flatsome.js
/themes/flatsome/assets/js/woocommerce.js

    files, while the “Defer Render-blocking JavaScript” is enabled. Make sure to flush all caching for the application (Dynamic, Memcache, CloudFlare) and your browser’s cache and test one more time on your end.

    This should resolve the issue and you will be able to choose variables for the products and add them to cart, while still taking advantage of the “Defer Render-blocking JavaScript”.
