• Hi.I have been using AMP for WP.
But there are things I am in trouble with.

Embedded tweets do not display well with AMP.

Pasting the URL will display it well, but you can not display it with AMP if it starts with <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="ja">

I attempted trial and error, but it will not work.
    Can you handle it?

    sorry my Google translation English.

  • Yes, I had the same query. Could there be some way through which Tweet displays well despite using the web embed code that starts with < blockquote >?

    Hey @rgtweb

Could you please share the entire blockquote ?

    and

@rahulr yes, there’s a simple way to embed tweets instead of blockquote

Here is a small tutorial for you @rahulr

PS: In the tutorial we mentioned Instagram, but same works for Twitter & YouTube

    @ampforwp

It is HTML code that can be selected with Twitter’s “Embed this Tweet”.

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="ja"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Best on-screen <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Oscars?src=hash">#Oscars</a> Tweeting goes to... <a href="https://t.co/BovBmrlyqW">https://t.co/BovBmrlyqW</a></p>&mdash; Twitter (@Twitter) <a href="https://twitter.com/Twitter/status/836070368859176960">2017年2月27日</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

As you said, it’s displayed in the way you paste the URL directly into the tutorial.
However, pasting this HTML code will not work.

Since all past postings have pasted HTML, I want somehow to correspond.
Or please tell me if there is a way to display well with HTML code

    Hey @rgtweb

I am so sorry for the delay.

This HTML code is not AMP compatible. you have to follow the method given in the guide, in order to show twitter embeds in AMP.

Even for all past postings as well, you have to modify them manually. We are sorry, we agree it’s a difficult task to change everything manually but there’s no other way. Since the output created by twitter is not AMP compatible, and we can’t control the output of AMP.

    Hope you understand.
