Please don't echo in functions

Hi, could you please make it so your fonctions don’t echo but return strings. Or you can provide functions that do echo but also function that just provide strings. Indeed when you echo in your functions, this does not make things convenient for users who want to get the output and combine it to another string in order to display the resulting concatenation. Thx.
