Please don’t force Gutenberg on us

Hi:

I have spent years on WordPress and love it the way it is. I absolutely hate the Gutenberg and I am sure there are many like me. Why are you forcing Gutenberg down our throats if there are people like me who prefer the Classic WordPress Editor?

Even if you want to develop Gutenberg I hope you will always allow us a democratic choice of the Classic Editor, so that those of us who love the Classic Editor can still eternally work with it.

It does not feel like a decent or democratic way to treat old users of WordPress by forcing a timeline on them to shift to Gutenberg … or else!

I hope you realize that there will always be a large body of WordPress users who like the speed of work that the Classic Editor allows, without having to work with Gutenberg or any other supposedly “user-friendly” system that is the most cumbersome and convoluted system I have ever come across.

A word from you that the Classic Editor will always be available as a choice for those of us who want it, will be very welcome.
