• I cannot say I have worked a lot with Gutenberg. But one central function that does not work is the changing of date of publication BEYOND the year! Everytime I tried it, it just jumps back to 2018. (I am building a retrospektive archive on our site.) So I had to install the classic editor to work as I have used to before. Once you guys fixed that bug, I’ll take a second, unbiased look at the new editor, I promise.

  • Hmm, seems you discovered a bug? Would you mind providing us a bit more information about your browser and of what exactly you are trying to do.

When I change the publication date from Dec 17, 2018 to Dec 17, 2017 it sticks.

Did you make sure there wasn’t a plugin compatibility?

I use Mozilla Firefox, maybe it has to do with my WooCommerce (Version 3.4.5) plugin, because I tried to fix the publication date of my products. I have not yet used the new editor on my blog page, but I feared it would be the same.

I can change there day or month, but the year cannot be changed. When I write a new year in, as soon as I close the date window, it jumps back to 2018.

Sounds like this is a WooCommerce bug that was fixed in 3.5.1. Are you able to update Woo?

For now, it is not possible because I use the API of WC for data transfer. But if the bug is related to the older WC-version, I can live with it.
