Checked on my website recently and nothing is working. I did update it about a month ago. My menus do not work. My slider is not working. I use this site to communicate and advertise my business. Can someone please guide me into the correct direction to resolve this issue. My website address is crossfitnauset.com.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    1.) I’ve deactivated all plug-ins. No improvement.

2.) Im not sure how to reset to default theme. I apologize, I’m not very good with this. I was very proud of myself to set it up in the first place. I recently updated wordpress and didn’t realize the inactivity until recently. After viewing most of the items in my dashboard it seems that my MEDIA LIBRARY might be the issue. All the photos are not able to be viewed. My slider and menus were mostly links to those images. I hope this helps diagnose my problem I THANK YOU for any help.

3.) “resetting plug-in folder…” I do not know how to do this.

4.) unfortunately I do not know how todo this either.

Im not sure how to reset to default theme

Navigate to Appearance -> Themes. Place your cursor over the Twenty Fourteen theme’s screenshot and select “Activate”.

“resetting plug-in folder…” I do not know how to do this.

Please see the link I posted above.

unfortunately I do not know how todo this either.

You will need to use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
