Thank God!! It worked the world end has been saved and peace and tranquility has been restored …..too much?
    Ok so
Ftp into plugins download the working press this file
    then upload to new site
activate DO NOT UPDATE and it works like before

    Ok now where was I….

had the same problem with a 403 error and was resolved by my host changing a ModSecurity rule.

He said it was rule 211120, but can’t find that rule in the docs anywhere.

When I updated WordPress 4.2.2 on one of my websites my beautiful version of Press This disappeared. It was replaced in the new version by a Press This that has none of the outstanding features the old version had. This is not a good idea. The old Press This that was part of WordPress should be restored in any subsequent version of WordPress. The new Press This in 4.2.2 seems to stink compared to what we had before. I’m sorry, but I am supremely disappointed in this feature as presented in WordPress 4.2.2.

Anybody resolve this issue? Mine has been working but for some reason today when i select Press This, no content shows up, only the Source URL. I have to manually cut and paste. Is there something better than Press This? I am desperate. It takes me twice as long to create a post and creates a lot of extra work that I didn’t have to do before. I use WP 4.2.2.

    Got it fixed.
