Please Help

    I have been trying to upload pictures and i am unable to do it. I have ftp’d them to a folder on my server but wordpress does not find them and will not import them. I have tried using photobucket and nothing. I tried to fo the embed from utube but all i get is a link. I do not what is going on but i have done a complete reinstall several times but it seems that i just can not get pictures nor am i able to embed anything into post. Please help.

    Hi

    If you want to use the WP Media library, you have to upload the files through the Media library, you can’t use FTP.

    If you want to FTP or use Photobucket, use the Insert/Edit Image button on the 1st row of the Visual Editor toolbar to insert images into your posts. There you paste in the image’s URL. If you have the correct URL, the image will appear on your site.

    I tried that but all i got was the link. not the picture. I have done all kinds of reinstalls. I am beggining to think it has something to do with the SQL cause when i ask it to upload it gives me all kinds of errors.
    If you look on my blog i tried to put the utube vid of Alan Keyes on there but all i could get to come up was the link to the page. When itried to embed it it would not bring in anything of it.

    This is what i get when i try to upload :

    Unable to create directory D:\Hosting\3951673\html\blog\wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/02. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
