Please help a complete newbie

I’m not sure what you mean by that? I am trying to create a wordpress blog for people who have no idea where to begin on survival and setup a shopping cart for it.

i setup a database on byethost.com and used filezilla to upload the latest wordpress version off of www.ads-software.com but not sure what to do from there

i think part of my problem from watching this video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toRTaFiIS4M is that I don’t have a domain name to upload into when i look in my filezilla. where do I start?

I’ve read that CO.CC gives out free domains, but I don’t know how to set this up, or if this is what I need to do. Any help is appreciated

You can register your free .co.c domain at https://www.co.cc/

After that, read the instructions provided by https://www.co.cc/ and point the name servers of your domain to your hosting provider.

Once you did it, you can access your FTP account using any FTP client like FileZilla and upload all your wordpress files to your hosting account. I am not sure that what exactly to do with the shopping cart in wordpress. But you can install the wordpress on your domain and you can install shopping cart to your subdomain and then you can set the hyperlink on your wordpress site for your subdomain.
