    I am hoping someone can help me with this situation..

    I wanted to give my blog a tweak, something more friendly and inviting, less likely to cause frowns from people (long story). My fiancee helped to design me a new logo using caricatures of our two dogs. I wanted to replace the old logo with the new one. Finally got it to recognize the image, but I am left with about a 2″ gap between the bottom of the image and the top of the blog itself.

    I use Eric Crooks’ TAKTEEK01 for my theme. Here is the coding (via Pastebin) for the Header: https://pastebin.com/wNUpvCz5.

    Can someone please help? Here is my blog’s link: https://nerdykibbles.net

  • reduce the size of the image – i.e. the empty areas top and bottom.

    and remove the 20px bottom padding from the #banner style in style.css

    alcymyth – I think that might work; however, I won’t lie, I am still learning my way through css and the like. Can you please elaborate a bit more on what you said, as I am not 100% sure what to do.

    So far, I removed the following code:

    h1 { margin-top: 20px; }

    and then I tried reducing the height and width, but either a) I did it wrong (it reduced the img size, but the 2″ space between the bottom of the img and the top of the border still existed), or b) you meant something altogether different.

    Can you please explain further? Thank you.

    but the 2″ space between the bottom of the img and the top of the border

    reducing the image size does not help; you need to cut a strip off the bottom of the image – in a graphic’s editor such as Gimp or photoshop…

    see screenshot: https://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/812/headerpy.jpg/

    the image is outlined in red – the proposed cuts are marked green.

    looking at the site in Firefox, there is no gap;
    there is a black area from below the bone to the border – that is all.
