I don’t know what exactly to restore. The back up is of the previous theme version.

Please go to your theme folder (wp-content/themes/) & paste the following
<?php update_option( 'sidebars_widgets', $null ); ?>
codes into the functions.php file.

Yes, restore with the previous theme then we start from there.

Now I got the point, actually WordPress saves the Theme Setting to your database so if you update to new version then no problem (Theme Name Must BE Same).

Please re-name your currently activate parent/child theme as like the previous one, I hope this trick will help you.

I already renamed the child to match the parent, but my settings are still gone. themekraft instructions were to switch to another theme, delete old theme versions, and then get newest version, all of which I did. But they said my settings wouldn’t be lost and something was lost.

Thank you very much for your help. My host was able to roll back my site by a couple of days to restore it.
