• Hi everyone!

I am new to wordpress. I want to post a survey on my wordpress blog using SurveyMe. Everything went well. I can publish the survey and submit my answer. However, when I went back to collect the result by downloading the .csv file on SuveyMe setting page. I got an empty file. The file is not broken, but there is nothing in it. Did anybody know why? Please help, thanks a lot!

By the way, I tried the default one. Doesn’t work either.

I would have said that there is some special character in the survey that is causing a problem with saving the data.
However if the default does not work either it sounds a little more complicated.

Best way to check things out is log into the MySQL database and look at the table directly. See if it has data.
This will tell if the problem is with the saving or the downloading of the data.
If the table does have data you can also download it here until the problem is solved.

    Hi DCoda!

Thanks a lot for your reply! We are actually using MsSQL. I asked the web developer to check the table and it has no data in it. So the problem is saving.

Do you think this has anything to do with the version of WordPress? We use 3.1 right now. We will try to update WP tomorrow and see if it helps solve this problem. But if you know other ways, please let me know. Thank you very much!

    Does the table actually exist?
If there is no data I am totally stumped as to what the cause could be.
Are you using special characters when you are filling out the form. This is the only reason I could thing that the data isn;t been saved.

I get no data entries in my downloaded csv either…but there is data in the MySQL database. How to get it written to the csv file?

CSV exports fine from phpmyadmin so it must be how it is being parsed in the plugin.

If there is no space used in the survey name…the csv does write.
