Please help! Convey this destroyed my site

  • Hello!
    I have removed Convey this laguange translaton plugin from my site and everything went mising.I still have my pages and products when im in dashboard,but on my actual site everything is gone.Its seems like when i removed plugin ,like its have deleted every word on my site,and i dont know how to bring it back.I have tried instaling it again ,changing theme,bt nothing seems to work.Please help me,thank u in advance!

  • Just restore from your last backups… should be fine then.

    I’ll second that, if you have a backup saved anywhere. A restore to the last version could allow you to troubleshoot further before your stuff got wiped out.

    @yobani I’m thinking that plugin broke something in the database side of things where just reinstalling the backup would give a working database again.

    Restoring the whole backup covers the bases if I’m wrong about the database itself being the culprit.

    If the site wasn’t mission-critical I’d probably do the restore piecemeal in order to learn a bit more about the problem and possibly find a better fix.

    And, since it sounds like the site is working other then the original content is isolated somehow from the site now, I might even do something crazy like sub in a different database or snapshot that whole site to another server.

    Those things are fun but not conducive to ‘uptime’ on their own. I mention doing those kinds of things as longterm ‘after the fix’ investigative exercises which are actually Me Having FUN!!!
