• Hello,

for some reason I am having trouble figuring out how to change the background color on this eshop blog template that I have

it seems as though the color code is: bfd8e7 … but it is nowhere to be found within my style sheet

Also, after going through the images within the folders of the default theme (which i am using) there is no image of that color either…..i am stuck

could someone either let me know which file i should upload on here to get some help with this or tell me what code I could add to my stylesheet in order to define a background image that I could create myself?

I just want it to be a simple black to grey gradient that I can produce within photoshop. thanks

PS – I can never figure out how to post code in these posts as it is always blocked. Is there a specific way I am supposed to do it rather than just pasting it within this post? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!!

right now it has a maintenance plugin enabled so you will not be able to see the site…
is there a code i could provide you with? if so, how would i post it on here without it getting blocked?

i figured out that if i open the stylesheet.css file in dreamweaver it allows me to see the background color code. However, in the wordpress appearance editor the code looks significantly different. Would there be any reason in particular for this?

Most likely cause is that the WordPress editor is not capable of browsing directories. It limits editing of files to those that are located in your theme directory. If I’m not mistaken your theme offers several variations on color and style, or “skin” variations, which leads me to believe that alternative style sheets might be located in another directory rather than at the (themes) root. You may need to use your ftp client or file manager to examine the theme files and confirm this. (or check your local copy)

Just a wild guess mind you, without being able to see the site or the theme.
