    HI
I just tried to edit my wordpress blog website and got this message:
Fatal error: print_r(): Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in /home1/shannonc/public_html/blogsite/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase2.php on line 253

Can someone please help me? What do I do? I can’t even log in to disable WP Super Cache. I am totally out of my element with all this. Can someone give me instructions on how to just delete this plugin? Will that help?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!
    Shannon

  • Hey you guys are most welcome. And I think that’s a good idea to write a review about this. This is definitely not professional. I have some websites on CDN servers, worldwide, and luckily I was able to get in there before it started serving up the broken website to people all around the world. But other websites did not do so well and I had to go in and excise this plugin. Alright, good luck all.

oh, P.S. This is NOT the first time I have had to do this, with this plugin. Many times this plugin COMPLETELY breaks your site. This just happens to be the first time that it would have been permanent (since it was upgrade related and could no longer upgrade itself since it completely broke the site … other times it was just a bad cache file, you just clean it out. This was the first full on permanent site break.) I’m done with this plugin. I’ll post a recommended replacement in a few minutes.

Ok guys, this is the cache that comes highly recommended, works with CDNs, and does all kinds of speed enhancements to get your site loading faster:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/w3-total-cache/

    W3 TOTAL CACHE

    A little more info:
    https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-install-and-setup-w3-total-cache-for-beginners/

I personally host all my sites on HostGator, and for the most professional ones I enable CLOUDFLARE for free. This is the same worldwide proximity redunancy caching that the biggies use, like Amazon, Apple, etc. Basically, your site becomes hosted on multiple servers around the world so that it loads faster locally to each person’s location. Coupled with W3 Total Cache, it’s supposed to be the be-all end-all killer solution.

yes me too !! WTF !!!!

Fatal error: print_r(): Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in /homepages/26/d553229553/htdocs/clickandbuilds/kawaii/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase2.php on line 253

I changed to the older version of the plugin !!! is this for real ? how can you send out an update like that !!!!!??????!!!!

You are right evanevans 333 I contact my hosting server and they help me also they installed W3 total cache. If you need help your hosting server can help you out.

Until your site is complete and totally rocking and awesome in every way, you really don’t need to be running a cache yet. During development, you can just not use any caching options. Until you’re getting over 300+ visitors PER DAY, you’re okay without the cache. Will it help? Yes! But, just to let you know, you don’t have to add this “monkey wrench” to the mix, until you really are getting a lot of traffic. And actually, during development it can be a nuisance, because sometimes a change you make to your website isn’t working until you realize you need to go DELETE THE CACHE and reload it, that the changes you made you weren’t even seeing because the old cached copy of the website was being served.

I use the most advanced caching combo on my most professional websites. That’s W3 Total Cache and Cloudflare (free with HostGator.com).

Good luck everyone! Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with. Also, be sure to complain to the developer. Take 20 minutes or 10 minutes, and give them a piece of your mind. And write a review. Even if you’re not going to use this plugin, at least it will encourage OTHER developers to do better.

Ok, I have the same problem.

I will wait for a plugin update, but in the mean time the problem is present for pages with GET parameters if you have active the option:
“Don’t cache pages with GET parameters. (?x=y at the end of a url)”

In the options uncheck that feature and save, everything will work again.
But this is a temporal fix as that option is important for my site.

Hi Guys, being a dummy at wordpress and not having any prior knowledge of how i can resolve the issue I got in contact with my web host ‘hostgator’ and they simply told me to access admin using this url:

    https://www.yourdomainhere.com/wp-login.php

which has worked. I can now access my admin and shall remove the plugin. Is there any plugins i can use to replace this one?

Hope this helps any of you

evanevans333 THANK YOU so much, this happened to me this afternoon too, and because of your solution i’m now back in to my admin panel.. THANK YOU.

adminkp: read my posts above yours
    tarafinch: you got it! np

evanevans333 thank you, I have just connected to Cloudfare but the recent reviews for W3 Total Cache advise that you don’t install it, as it causes similar problems

I had the same error. Resolved by returning to 1.4.2.

ok thanks AdminKP, there are certain aspects of W3 Total Cache you don’t want to turn on, when using CloudFlare. If you work out which ones, it’s the killer combination. In any event, CloudFlare is a nice CDN for when you get to that stage of your website needs (distributed redundancy, ie: global caching).

galera vcs tem que ir no:
site hospedeiro… no meu caso Hostgator
    Gerenciador de arquivo
    Public HTML
    WP content
    Plugin
e deletar o plugin WP cache
    e pronto

Thanks adminkp… https://www.yourdomainhere.com/wp-login.php worked for me too
