It seems to work when I’m logged into WordPress and hit the Delete Cache button at the top. That’s just an idea, though.

Yeah, deleting the cache seemed to work for my buddy, meaning after I deleted it from my end he refreshed and the website was in normal desktop view.

    Anyone?

Okay, think I might have accidentally fixed it… Haha. Thanks again, Bill!

Spoke too soon. Now I’m seeing the Nokia theme when it loads…

    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

I don’t experience your issue neither [screenshot].
Is it occurring on a particular browser/ browser version?

Could it be a browser-zoom problem? Try pressing CTRL + 0 (assuming you use Windows).

The ONLY time it works is when I delete cache…

I’m on a Mac, but last night my buddy on a PC was seeing the mobile view as well, UNTIL I deleted the cache, using the button on the toolbar. That’s the only thing that seems to fix it. And it may have worked for you because I’ve deleted the cache a couple times in the last 15-20 minutes,

    Which plugins have you installed?

Askimet, bbPress, bbPress Admin Bar Addition, GD bbPress attachments, GD bbPress tools, GD bbPress widgets, Google Analytics, Jetpack, WP Mobile Pack, WP Super Cache, and WP to twitter.

This one, “WP Super Cache” may be causing you to see old versions of the website; older bugged versions.

Would I be better off deleting it altogether, or trying to find a new cache plug-in? I sincerely appreciate the help, I’ve been racking my brain on this all night. Thing is, I’m pretty new to the WordPress/blogging world, and I haven’t owned a domain in over a decade.

Can anyone suggest a better cache plug-in, or should I just avoid them?

Sorry to see you’re still fighting with this one. I believe WP Super Cache is one of the more popular of the caching plugins, but there’s maybe some conflict going on between it and one or more of the others. The standard approach is to deactivate all plugins and then add them back one at a time until it breaks again. I’d load WPSC earlier and try to find another culprit, because WPSC tends to be fairly stable from what I’ve seen.

You might also try switching to the default theme while testing to rule out theme incompatibilities. Also, if you haven’t yet, search through the WPSC support threads.

Whether or not you need a caching plugin is a different story. Consider the size (load) of your site, the load speed without one, and the number of visitors you get. Use Firebug or something like it to test your load times and events. Good luck with this!

Is your problem ongoing or did you work it out?
