Please Help! Moved blog — double permalinks…
-
Please help!
I moved my blog into a subdirectory (from https://www.domain.com to https://www.domain.com/blog). I did that by moving wordpress files into new folder, and changing two settings for permalinks in WordPress settings section…
Now, all my old permalinks are still here! And the new ones are there two. Google only picking up my old links… And even the posts I created after the move still get posted into new and old directory… What’s going on? I don’t want to be penalized by Google for doubling my content. And I don’t really want to loose all the search results I get.
For example, this is a post I created after the move, but as you can see it’s still goes into the old domain directory:
https://www.organicmakeupandskincare.com/2008/05/weleda-brand-overview-posted/
AND to the new directory:
https://www.organicmakeupandskincare.com/blog/2008/05/weleda-brand-overview-posted/
Where did I mess up?
oh, and if there is 404 error anywhere on my site, and not just in /blog/ directory, I get the blog error page…
PLEASE HELP, I’m way over my head here!
Thanks
